ABOUT US
OUR VISION
NAHBRS strives to be creative and leverage collaborations and partnerships to keep costs low and deliver quality services. It was formerly known as OCSHI and has changed to meet a broader base clientele and adopt the platform of a public charity.
NAHBRS is unique in its relationship with the Outagamie County Housing Authority, who provides office space, technical support, and management support at no cost. This demonstrates the Outagamie County Housing Authority’s commitment to low-income housing and NAHBRS initiative to collaborate with other agencies. NAHBRS will continue to cooperate with housing agencies, community service organizations, and local businesses to provide services and programs. It will do so by seeking community support and fostering partnerships.
NAHBRS was initiated through the collaborative effort of the Outagamie County Housing Authority and OCSHI. They came together in response to the need for assistance that goes beyond the general scope of low-income housing. Some of this support includes: rural transportation, ADA accessibility projects, nurse advocate services, and one-time capital campaigns. These health and human services improve the quality of life in the community by ensuring low-income individuals receive consistent medical care, education, and advocacy options.
WHO WE SERVE
NAHBRS is founded on the dedication of committed individuals to create a change in their community. The organization has maintained its signature enthusiasm for service. We assist over 200 low-income residents in the Fox Cities, improve the quality of life for our tenants through on-site improvements and valuable programs, and remain a vital resource in the community. Residents must live at one of the four complexes managed by OCHA to utilize the Supportive Service Matrix.
OUR MISSION
Non-Profit Affordable Housing Based Rental Services (NAHBRS) is a non-profit agency created by Outagamie County Housing Authority (OCHA) and Outagamie County Senior Housing Inc (OCSHI). NAHBRS provides affordable rental housing and supportive services to the low-income people of the Fox Valley.
